The Pool, hot or cold?

I got all my pool gear together to have a cooling swim on this sweltering day. On my down in the elevator I ran into several neighbors who commented on the extreme heat of the pool water. I looked at the thermometer in the pool and the reading was 92o Fahrenheit! I was uncomfortable in the pool and after 10 minutes and after getting water in my eye which stung (unusual for me.) I got out.
I looked on the American Red Cross and several other web sites and found these suggestions for pool water temperature.

Lifeguard training up to ages 15 – 55 (60 to 120 minutes*)
Low intensity activity-water temperature should be 29° to 32°C (84.2° to 89.6 F)

ARC SAC Instructor Information Water Temperature for Aquatic Instruction

Intense activity – water temperature should be 26° to 28° C (78.8° to 82° F
)
Water Safety Instructor up to ages16- 55 (60 – 120 minutes*)

Low intensity activity-water temperature should be 29° to 32°C (84.2 ° to
89.6°F)

Intense activity – water temperature should be 26° to 28°C (78.8° to 82° F)

So I'd like to suggest to the Governing Board that we keep the pool temp. at a moderate low intensity temperature of 84 to 89.
